April 14, 2013 (TSR) – The “Despair of fascism” becomes more “evident” as the Twitter accounts of the Venezuela presidential hopeful Nicolas Maduro has been compromised on Sunday by the Lulz Security Peru hacktivist group according Venezuelan Vice President Jorge Arreaza’s and minister of Communications & Information Ernesto Villegas’s twitter accounts.
“Alert compatriots. (They) Hacked account of president @NicolasMaduro. The desperation and helplessness of some is evident,” they warned.
Two official websites have been also brought down.
In their “desperation” hackers also attacked the Twitter accounts of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela and of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
“Also hacked the account @PartidoPSUV. Whatever they do, the people of Bolivar and Chavez and wrote history today!”, the minister exclaimed.
The official’s twitter account was filled with vulgar messages in which @lulzsecperu claimed responsibility for the successful attack. They proudly presented their acts in their Facebook public page.
The Hacking team Members of Desh501 & CyberRat, Greetz to, JsnX & th0rhave, also defaced Maduro’s official sites maduro.org.ve and nicolasmaduro.org.ve posting their logo on the main pages.
The attacks occurred shortly before 18:00 (22:30 GMT), when the polls had officially closed for this Sunday’s presidential election in Venezuela.
