February 18, 2013 (TSR) – The 3rd underground nuclear test was carried out successfully on February 12 in the field of our national defense science. It was a resolute step taken for self-defense against most ferocious hostile acts of the U.S. and its followers.
Due to the ever-worsening politico-military provocations of the U.S. and its south Korean puppets, our Republic’s supreme interest was gravely challenged. This has also brought our patience to its very limit.
The country’s sovereignty can be safeguarded only by its own great military strength. The U.S. and its South Korean puppets are coming at us with greater hostility and update offensive means.
This test was done because of the anti-DPRK hostile act of the U.S. imperialists who fabricated a brigandish “resolution on sanction” by usurping the UN Security Council, incriminating the artificial satellite Kwangmyongsong (Brightstar) 3-2 launched in December 2012.
The United States, which has lifted off the largest number of satellites and deployed huge amounts of nukes in South Korea and other parts of the world, infringed on the righteous independent right of a sovereign state on its part and takes a dual attitude, keeping mum about Japan and South Korea which had chimed in with its anti-DPRK acts.
Much frightened, villains of traitor Lee Myung Bak are busying themselves with holding an “emergency meeting of security” for “countermeasures” while begging the United States and its followers for cooperation in taking an “additional sanction” of the UN Security Council. And they also try to enforce on the DPRK a “sanction” after their own fashion while strengthening their military tie-up with outside forces.
Their moves cannot be let go because they are bringing the situation to the brink of war.
It was brought to light that the United States is trying to stifle us at any cost, and the UNSC is being used as a tool for its hostile policy toward the DPRK. This makes us unable to choose any other option.
Nuclear test is an exercise of right to self-defense of a sovereign state. Infringement on our satellite launch is an outrage of our sovereign rights. Had there not been such an outrage, we wouldn’t have conducted the underground nuke test. When the U.S. and its followers cooked up a “resolution on sanction” against the DPRK at the UNSC, the South Korean puppets hailed it with open arms.
Meanwhile, they also brought in to South Korea a U.S. nuke sub other aggressive war tools in a joint war drill for a preemptive nuke strike at the DPRK.
Our nuclear test is a just self-defensive step against the ever-pronounced U.S. nuclear blackmail against the DPRK. It belongs to the entirely righteous exercise of sovereignty that we, with nuclear, are reacting to the nuclear blackmail of the United States which is permanently threatening us with huge amounts of nuclear forces in South Korea.
The United States and its following forces are responsible for our nuclear test.
Our recent underground nuclear test was conducted when the US-led imperialist allied forces and their followers were demonstrating military strength on a larger scale and creating a war-like atmosphere and the hostile forces were putting in motion grave means against our peaceful economic development and threatening our right to existence.
If the United States and its followers challenge us with new pressure and “sanction”, raving “tough step”, “freezing of fund” and the like with our underground nuclear test as a pretext, we will counter it with more powerful self-defensive measure.
The U.S. imperialists must not run riot.
The DPRK has made it clear that its nuke test was but our first stage of countermeasures that showed our extreme patience.
The U.S. and the traitorous group of Lee Myung Bak talked noisily about “added provocation” but it is a shameless attempt to cover up their evil bellicose nature.
The U.S. and its followers are making much ado about “the added sanction” of the UNSC and “strong counter-measures” in a bit to further aggravate the situation. But that will only hasten their self-destruction. Now, they plan to enforce “search of ships”, “sea blockade” and “financial sanction”. If they do so, that will only redouble our firm determination to stand against the enemy with intensified and successive counter-measures.
Any “sanction” against the DPRK means a declaration of war. This is an intolerable mockery and vicious challenge upon the DPRK.
And the campaign for “additional sanction” is also a frenzy of the doomed.
Such a campaign only invites a fresh indignation of our people.
None of the political and military pressure will work on us. We will fight to the bitter end against the enemy who dares encroach upon our dignity and sovereignty.
We will unyieldingly face up to the enemy who attempts to harm our socialist system, a symbol of our life and soul and dignity, and will fight to win final victory. And for that our Army and people will do something more than nuclear test.
It is the traditional mode of fighting of our army and people to carry out anything with tough and bold grit and will once they are determined to do.
Our potential physical counter-measures will certainly smash the indiscreet acts of the U.S. and its followers who try to light the fuse to a nuclear war, breaking peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula.
We will advance forward along the road chosen by us more stubbornly and more convincingly.
