April 19, 2014 (TSR) – Residents of the Kola Peninsula in Murmansk, Russia witnessed the fall of a celestial body similar to the famous surprise Chelyabinsk “Russian Fireball” meteor on early Saturday morning. The dash cam flashed at 02:13:58 am local time and was clearly seen in the sky. However, no sound of explosions was heard. Officials say that the nature of the celestial body is unknown.
Murmansk, the last city founded by the Russian Empire (Romanov-on-Murman), remains the largest city in Arctic Circle, not far from Russia’s border with Norway and Finland.
