He also stressed efforts of Iranian and Venezuelan officials to remove problems hindering development of relations and said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran withholds no effort to boost friendly ties with Venezuelan revolutionary nation.”

Chavez on his part expressed satisfaction over talks with Ahmadinejad and appreciated efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran for expansion of ties between the two countries.

“World nations will witness collapse of Imperialism in the near future.”

Ahmadinejad also said that the peace-loving and justice-seeking Iranian and Venezuelan nations are building their countries far from the Imperialistic domination.

By exerting pressures on independent states, Imperialism is actually creating much more troubles for itself, said the Iranian President.

He said the Islamic Republic of Iran is standing with Venezuela and the geographical distance can never damage the existing solidarity between the two nations.

The revolutionary wave all over the Latin American region will surely continue till uprooting Imperialism, noted Iran’s President.

President Chavez for his part described Iran as an influential country in the international arena, stressing that West’s sanctions against Tehran are ineffective.

He reiterated that his country always supports the Iranian nation and underlined the need for boost in all-out bilateral cooperation.

Iranian and Venezuelan presidents also held a private meeting focusing on the latest international and regional developments as well as issues of mutual interests.

“The West is against scientific and technological progress of Iran.”

President Ahmadinejad also made remarks in a press conference concerning the Iran-G5+1 talks, Iran’s stance on Syria, Brazil’s support for Iran’s nuclear program and establishment of a new world order.

The West is against progress in Iran; nuclear weapons is a pretext to put pressures on Iran and stop Iranian nation’s progress,“ Ahmadinejad said.

He said international approaches to nuclear issues is unjust and follows a double-standard because those who have nuclear weapons and threaten other nations, at the meantime claim to be against nuclear weapons.

“The countries that have nuclear arms today, used those arms on certain occasions today through threats, claiming they cannot have these weapons,” President said.

Ahmadinejad said, “We believe that nuclear energy, along with other forms of energy, should be accessible to all nations and is the right of all nations. But nowadays, it is monopolized by a few.”

The people of the world are well aware about the discriminatory and inefficient behavior of the arrogant powers and these corrupt global powers, which are in minority, have adopted a style that is against the nations and their style is in their own interests,” he added.

President noted that they (the arrogant powers) are constantly humiliating the nations and have subdivided the human race to different classes while setting themselves as benchmark and allowing themselves to do whatever they want against the nations.

“These corrupt powers allow themselves to make atom bomb and chemical weapons and use them against the nations,” President Ahmadinejad added.

In order to tackle the social and economic inequalities and the injustice currently undermining human dignity world-wide, there is a great need for a “new world order,” he said.

“This order would be based on compassion and justice, and in it, all humanity would be respected,” he said, pointing out that in the world today, a small minority has the power to make decisions, without consideration for the needs of the majority.

A sign of the injustice in the current world order, he said, is the nuclear proliferation question.

President Ahmadinejad flew to Caracas from Brazil, following his participation in the Rio+20 Earth Summit, formally known as the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. The high-level environmental meeting was held from June 20 to 22 in Rio de Janeiro.

On Tuesday, Ahmadinejad visited Bolivia en route to the Rio summit to hold talks with Bolivian President Evo Morales and other senior officials.

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Vice President for Executive Affairs Hamid Baqaei, and Vice President for International Affairs Ali Sa’eedlou accompanied the president on his Brazil tour.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Venezuela on Friday on the last leg of his tour of three Latin American countries.
