Death of Hugo Rafael Chávez Frias, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, deeply touched the hearts of our people.

Comandante Chávez is the founder of the modern democratic state in Venezuela, where historical injustices resulted more and more to a nation of equality, justice, hope and confident in a free future.

President Chávez is, also, one of the main architects of integration and brotherhood between our peoples. Initiatives such as ALBA, CELAC, UNASUR, and the South Bank, became a reality with the obstinate dedication of Chávez in carrying out the generous ‘Patria Grande’ (Great Homeland) dream of Simon Bolivar.

Chávez is an irreplaceable character of the 21st century, a leading presence in the gallery of the great names, who fought popular liberation struggles in world history. He, with the stature equal to that of our revolutionary predecessors, befits the complex challenges of today, and especially the building of a just, equal and happy future for Humanity.

The ideals of freedom, democracy and equality – which presided over the revolutionary life of Chavez, are the cement of the integration of South American and Latin American peoples and the hope of building another world without domination and oppression, it is not only possible but imperatively necessary.

The history of human emancipation has written Hugo Rafael Chávez Frias, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as one of its noblest authors.
